身為一隻吃貨的兔子,到處尋找美食分享給大家好像已經是家常便飯,較早前生出來的南部懶人包台南篇,眾多精挑細選的店家當中,偏偏他們是最不為人知的一家;難得又遇上一位親切有趣的外國老闆遠赴台灣創業,那麼今天就決定去揭開這個神秘的面紗吧!

It is me-the Foodie Bunny! My hobby is to search for gourmet foods everywhere for you guys! Among the articles on the introduction of the delicacies in southern Taiwan, I had written about restaurants in Tainan. This time, I have found one of the best restaurants, which is least known by outsiders and run by a foreign boss, let's unveil the mystery!
 

位於小東路上的莘咖哩,店名雖然很特別,但是平常走過路過的話,很容易就錯過了,小兔也是因為從網路看到分享才知道他們的說。

Swarakchit (莘咖哩) is situated on Xiao-Dong Road with a unique brand name; However, it is hard to spot it while passing through. Foodie Bunny came to know this restaurant from the online information shared by others!

上星期再次到店內用餐的時候,感恩老闆的當面邀請,有機會一次過品嘗他們即將主打的純素餐點,嘿嘿嘿,台南人你們有福啦~

Last week I was invited by the boss to try their vegan cuisines and realized that Tainan citizens are so lucky to enjoy such wonderful delicacies!

開胃菜 Appetizes

A11 生菜沙拉(中)Salad (Medium)

比較平淡的一道沙拉,不過擺盤蠻用心的,還有意想不到的芭樂切片呢!有三種醬可以沾著吃增添風味~

It is a comparably mild dish, but it looks quite decorative with sliced seasonal fruits over it though. There are three types of natural sauces to enhance the flavor of it.

A3 咖哩餃 Samosa 

不愛炸物的小兔也覺得好好吃阿!用薯蓉填滿了餃子,外皮有點厚度但不會太硬,除了在印度餐廳內真的很難吃到這個風味~

As I am used to avoiding any fried items, I truly enjoy the samosas here though! Stuffed with smashed potato and spices, and a soft thick layer as the coat, you can hardly get a feel of such taste if you are not in an Indian restaurant.

A4 咖哩餃醬盤 Samosa chat
加入鷹嘴豆咖哩灑在上面,令層次提升不少,如果你每種東西都想淺嚐一點,點這個就對了

With chickpea curry over it to add on the flavor of the samosas. If you want to have some blended taste of Indian foods, here's the right choice!

一邊拍照一邊喝,還不錯~

It is quite pleasant to shoot the photos while sipping the thick pumpkin soup!

烤餅類 Flatbread

B1 全麥烤餅 Whole wheat flatbread 

傳統的印度主食,除了喜歡想不到其他形容詞了~

A traditional Indian staple, I cannot find better description than "Like it" for it!

把上面的餅換成炸的版本,會比較蓬鬆一點~

A fried version of aforementioned flatbread in a fluffy and crispy style!

沒想到加入薯蓉之後會那麼扎實,真的好喜歡啊~

It's unimaginable that the taste can be so satisfying with potato stuffing! Truly one of my favorite ones!

印度米就是不一樣阿,內用點套餐可以無限添吃,好棒!

The extraordinary taste of jasmine rice with unlimited servings really amazes me! (eat-in only)

主打的咖哩試了幾款,可以說是各有特色~

There are several kinds of curry dishes quite popular with their own unique styles!

C3 鷹嘴豆咖哩 Chickpeas curry 

最喜歡它了,高蛋白質又高營養,第一次來就是被這款迷上~大推!

I like it the most! Chickpeas curry is highly nutritious with quality protein! Highly recommend it!

C13 菠菜豆腐咖哩 Spinach tofu curry 

菠菜和豆腐是可以一起吃的,還可以做成咖哩!別看它醜醜的,配飯吃很搭呢~

It is completely fine to try the mixture of spinach and tofu, but I have never thought about turning them into curry! It is free of coloring agent and goes well with rice!

印尼天貝竟然出現在印度咖哩上?如果你喜歡不一樣風味的要試試看!
(忘記拍天貝了😅 它是黄豆發酵的食物唷~)

How come Indonesian Tempeh curry emerging in Indian curry? If you like to try something new, it is a must-try item! (Tempeh is a fermented soybean product)

老闆聽到小兔是Vegan後,還說特別要做一個無奶的布丁呢!

純素米布丁 Vegan Rice pudding 

即使少了牛奶,還是一樣美味啊~

This pudding tastes as great as the old version of milk rice pudding, even without milk!

The boss is multi-lingual, so both local and foreign groups are highly recommended to enjoy here!

後記:我想店家應該只是欠缺包裝和行銷吧,不然以這個價錢的食物質素,還有熱心的服務態度,絕對是應該會客似雲來的!

Note: Both the foods and the service are absolutely of high quality; However, lack of marketing and promotion gives the shop a less attractive look. In the near future, I expected Swarakchit to see an exponential growth in their business.
